Our High Point Water Quality Study is still on-going. Some preliminary results point to a few possible contaminants: While 4% of homes were in the high range for lead, 31% of homes showed some level of lead contamination. Lead at any level is harmful for children. Chromium was found to be higher than the “safe” level of 1 ppm in 57% of homes. Nitrates were found at a higher than safe level in 21% of homes. We will release final results of this project in a few weeks when all of our samples have been collected.
