Local agencies are providing rental assistance resources for residents to preserve tenancy for COVID19 related housing instability. Speakers from Legal Aid of NC, Greensboro Urban Ministries, Greensboro Housing Coalition, and Salvation Army:

  • Janet McAuley Blue is a graduate of UNC undergrad and law school. She has worked with Legal Aid since 1980 and is the Regional Manager for the Triad Region of Legal Aid of North Carolinaand the Managing Attorney for Greensboro.   • Sel Mpang is the Community Engagement Associate at Greensboro Housing Coaltion. She studied Political science at Guilford College. She was a Community Health Worker

  • Leroy S. Wilson, Jr., is the Director of Case Management Services at The Salvation Army Greensboro Center of Hope. During his 9 years with Salvation Army Greensboro, Leroy has supervised multiple programs aimed at ending homelessness. He currently directs several housing programs such as Rapid Rehousing, Permanent Supportive Housing, and Supportive Services for Veteran Families.   • Tyra Clymer is Director of Emergency Assistance at Greensboro Urban Ministries. She has worked for GUM for over 36 years. The Emergency Assistance Program (EAP), financial assistance is provided for costs necessary to maintain housing – utility, water, rent, and/or mortgage payments. https://greensborourbanministry.org/
